GAACster Rick Davis, a brand-new astrophotographer, has sent us a dozen
brand-new images of galaxies and nebulae, all taken from Beverly. You can
check out his new gallery here https://gaac.us/gallery-2/rdavis/rdavis,
and see his notes on individual images below.

The first three images listed below were all taken at Lynch Park, Beverly
on Oct 23rd 2024, using a Takahashi FS-60C w/ 6.2 reducer, ASI385MC camera
and an unguided Celestron NextStar SE mount.  They were stacked using the
ZWO ASIStudio ASILive application.

  • Comet Tsuchinshan-ATLAS
    o Lived stacked at 50 frames, 10 seconds each frame
  • M31, M32, M110 - Andromeda galaxy and Friends
    o Lived stacked at 120 frames, 10 seconds each frame
  • M27 - Dumbbell Nebula
    o Lived stacked at 60 frames, 10 seconds each frame

The following images were taken using different equipment, further details
below.  All were imaged in Beverly.

  • NGC 7331 (Deer Lick group) and Stephans Quintet (also see the
    labelled image to ID additional objects)
    o Date: October 28th, 2024
    o Vixen ED81S, ASI385MC camera
    o Processed using Siril, 44 frames stacked at 1 minute each
    o Celestron AVX  mount

    • NGC 7814 - "the little sombrero," and NGC 7814-Labelled (also see
      the labelled image to ID additional objects)
      o Date: Nov 01, 2024
      o Vixen ED81S, ASI385MC camera
      o Lived stacked using ASIStudio, 62 frames at 30 seconds each
      o Celestron AVX  mount

    • M1, Crab Nebula
      o Date: Nov 05, 2024
      o Vixen ED81S, ASI385MC camera
      o Processed using Siril,  60 frames at 60 seconds each
      o Celestron AVX mount

    • M33, and M33-Labeled
      o Date: November 5th, 2024
      o Vixen ED81S (no reducer/flattener), ASI385MC camera
      o Processed using Siril, GraXpert, 165  frames at 60 seconds each
      o Celestron AVX mount

      objects. NGC604 was discovered by William Herschel.

    • Pelican Nebula - IC 5070
      o Date: November 12, 2024
      o Takahashi FS-60C w/ 6.2 reducer and Baader UHC-L booster filter

      o Processed using Siril, GraXpert, 180 frames at 60 seconds each
