The sun has some nice activity today, see attached. Nice prominences, a huge prominence on the surface facing us, 1/3 across the surface, shows up as a dark line like region lower left. Can see intense magnetic field activity around the 2 huge sunspot groups, zoom in to see better detail. The one one eastern side (lower left) is the same region that caused the aurora, survived a full rotation and still going strong Mario Motta
