Hi Guys, this new add on to Pix, Blur exterminator is incredible on first
attempt
I had done NGC1245 last week for Jan Object of the month.
Looked OK. I just re processed with first using BluX, and results are
astounding. I attached both for you to examine.
The stars in regular processing are OK, but by first treating them to
BluX.. the stars while still in linear state became much better. stars are
sharp, from edge to edge. Also.. note along the left (eastern) side. on
blux version 2 galaxies popped into view not seen on the original
processing !!
wow.
I am going to test on a few others (1 month free trial by the way), but if
I keep getting these results this is indeed a game changer.
see attached images for comparison
Lets plan on full discussion of this next month monday session, I will
prepare comparisons.
Mario
The difference is obvious and strikingly bette,r Mario.
Thanks very much for giving us a heads-up.

so I played with another image.
last week also took the flame, NFC 2024, came out "OK" but was not the best
steady night.
So attached is usual processing.... NGC2024.
same data, had to play with it a bit of learning how now, a BlurXterminator
processed NGC2024.
all I can say is... WOW. like I took my scope into orbit above the
atmosphere.
Like that old "monkeys song,... "I'm a believer" now.
This is blowing me away... comments anyone?

Wow! This really helps your imaging of "point" sources.

Yes, notice that close stars are cleanly separated as double stars on close
comparison.
I just sent another comparison of the Flame nebula... exceeds limit again,
but want you imagers to see the difference, once Mike approves.
Like taking my scope to outer space
No more today Mike, I promise...

Mario: Wow what an improvement for such a simple step. If I were younger, I would purchase a new computer to use these recent improvements to PIX, but I am having problems of just getting old plus the cancer and I just don't have it in me to spend the time.

Phil, Russell says best to use while linear, so use right after DBE. You can later use a mild form at the end but lower the amount I found out. FYI
