new process in PixInsight

Hi all, I just want to alert the image group to a new process in PixInsight.
It is "generalized hyperbolic stretch"
It apparently has been an add on earlier this year, but now with the latest
Oix (vs 1.8.9.1) is a regular process.
On a teaching session of Pix, warren keller seems to feel this is a major
advance.
In stead of "histogram stretch:, you use this new process for the
stretching.
Takes a few settings each time, but... you start off with better contrast,
and especially start off with good color as opposed to the bleached almost
no color at first.

I plan on playing with this going forward, and maybe we can talk about it
some monday night (I am no where near ready to start teaching this one yet)

Alerting all of you. There are tutorials that link right from the process,
and a few youtube tutorials as well. This seems best for galaxies, which
always seem to have poor color when I start processing, solves that problem

FYI, Mario

Also.. when I updated Pix.. Lost StarNet 2, had to download and reload
this, so be aware. You will also have to run through a bunch of updates to
reinstall some processes and scripts, those are done for you but you need
to reload them.

Hi Mario
Very interesting. I hope to learn more about it. I'll update my Pix on one of my computers to see if I can locate the process

Thanks Mario,
I appreciate the heads-up.
Sounds like a definite improvement in stretching.
