Hi folks. This coming Friday our guest speaker Dr. Mario Motta, newly returned from Florida, will treat us to a two-part astronomical travelogue -- part adventures in southern skies, and then visits to a few italian observatories. First, we'll be treated to images of some spectacular objects Mario observed from Florida, objects we'll never see from New England (the planet remains stubbornly in the way). After that, Mario will take us on a virtual tour of several observatories he recently visited in Italy. All in all, this should be a fun break from astrophysics and a great way to spend a summer evening.
