Jupiter last night

maybe not as nice as Barry's, but got this last night around 11:30 of
Jupiter.
Tried saturn after sunset, but was swimming all over the place then

I also took the very center of the heart last night, melotte15 cluster, and
the central gas area.

(The "AV node" of the heart for those of you who know anatomy... :)

Hi Mario
I finally got around to processing more of the Jupiter files from Oct 11. I have analyzed 30 of the 37 files so far (5000 frames/file). I found a series of 3 sequential files that had high quality factors in AutoStakkert (sequence of 3 minutes total). Over 80% of the 15,000 frames had a quality rating above 50% during the Analysis step. Attached is the results of stacking 10,0000 highest quality frames from that group. I still think the key is the number of frames processed. This image is almost as good as the Jupiter image from Oct 6. Seeing conditions can vary throughout the session.

There is an amazing image of Jupiter in the gallery of this month's Sky and Telescope taken with a 12" Meade. The image is a stack of 29,000 frames. My frame rate is about 72 fps with a capture size of 800 x 600. I may go smaller to increase the frame rate so that I can get more images in the same 3 minute time frame. Right now I set each video capture to 5000 frames per file, which results in about 70 seconds. I think if I reduce the capture area, I can get it up to 100 fps so I can increase the number of frames per file. You may want to experiment with that to see how high you can get the frame rate based on the capture area.

I finally had a chance to process a few more images of Jupiter from the 10/11/22. Here is a short sequence of 4 images spread over 2 hours showing Jupiter's rotation. Unfortunately now red spot. Not the same detail compared to Oct 6 but a longer time period.
