Just alerting you to Russell Cromen’s new pixinsight plug in, blurXterminator. This replaces deconvolution, and is used early when linear. Warren Keller already is calling this a “game changer “ so sounds good. He rarely says that ( did not for the photo color correction fyi)
What makes it special is it uses “neuro networks programming” that can do things like correct star shapes in the corners of an image that may have coma, but does not affect normal stars in the center, something current deconvolution can not do.
Many other features I have been reading up on
It requires a modern
Processor, and latest pix update.
You can download for free for 1 month, then need to pay ( fairly pricey at $99)
I’m going to try the free trial and see how it performs. This may be worth a “ Monday night discussion “ if it lives up to the praise Warren is giving it, I’ll let you know

Hi Mario
In this earlier email, you mention having the latest version of PixInsight. I currently have 1.8.8-11, build 1526 (11/25/21) installed. The last email I received from Pix was to update to1.8.9.1 (5/19/22) Is this the latest version of software?

I also received a communication from Pix about a WBPP 2.5. Is this also necessary to get the BurXterminator?

I assume that the $99 is a one time license fee.

Where do I access to get the download? Is it on a site for Russell Cromen or from the PixInsight website?

Thanks
Barry

Barry, yes you need the latest pixinsight 1.8.9.1

WBPP not needed, ir rarely use that

payment is lifelong use and upgrades

Download from Russel Croman, do free trial first (30 days) to be sure it
works and no computer problems

Thanks Mario
My computer is an 8th generation i7 running Windows 10 Pro at 1.8 GHz (highend laptop a few years ago). I'll get the Pix updated.
