New Images from Mario Motta

Mario has sent us, from Florida, an even half-dozen photographic examples
of the practice of astronomy outside of the static New England cloud bank.
His descriptions follow; they're the last six images in his gallery, here
https://gaac.us/gallery-2/mario3/.

    1. NGC3718, in Ursa Major, a great disturbed galaxy interacting with
NGC3729. And as an added bonus, a very distant Hickson galactic group just
south of it, in the far distance (>500 million light years).
    1. Eta Carina. I have long wanted to see this, got a nice view with a
very unusual 12 inch F2 telescope with an image intensifier, and an Ha
attached filter. This was 3 degrees above the ocean horizon, taken with my
      iphone at the eyepiece. Wow.
    1. NGC1291. A very nice barred galaxy in Eridanus, with a double ring,
      inner and outer.
    1. NGC1532, a very strangely disturbed galaxy in Eridanus, known as
"Haley's Bonnet", 50 million light years away
    1. RCW36 (also GUM20), star cluster and nebula, deep south in Vela.
    1. NGC2467. The Skull and Crossbones nebula, in Puppis
