Richard Luecke has sent us another lunar sketch, this one of crater
Schickard, near the moon's southwestern limb.
This sketch captures an unusual feature. The crater floor has stripes of
dark basaltic lava on both the north and south ends, and a wide central
stripe of lighter material that was blown in from the formation of the Mare
Orientale basin. Check it out here
