I had free time today (got scratchy throat so staying low at home)
So.. I decided to do a test and reprocess one of my older images with the
newer techniques we have all been discussing in pixinsight.
attached is an "old M8"
then the same data with newer processing for comparison.
It's quite an improvement, which is very sad for me... I have about 901
images that could stand "reprocessing..... " 😨
arrgh
something to consider at one of our meetings... how to improve our older
data

well, was reprocessing the original subs, more than just tweaking.
But is shows the marked improvement possible with modern
techniques compared with older processing... with exact same data
