Mario has sent us another group of images, some southern and taken with the
C14, with a few from the 32. The new ones are the bottom eight images, here
https://gaac.us/gallery-2/mario3/.
Mario's notes on each object follow, in no particular order:
-
A deep field of the Hydra galactic cluster, many deep galaxies, taken
with the C14. I labeled the largest and brightest. This grouping is about
200 million light years away.
-
NGC2841, galaxy in Ursa Major, taken with my 32, in R/G/B and Lum
filters, with 2 hours imaging. It is the March object of the month.
-
NGC55, a large galaxy in Sculptor, taken with the C14.
-
Gum 15, a southern glowing cloud, in Vela, -41 degrees, NB filters
used.
-
NGC1360, a planetary nebula, known as the "Robin's Egg," large but
very faint, in Fornax, 2 hours imaging with the C14.
-
NGC1851, Globular cluster in Columba, -40 dec.
-
Sh2-280, a large nebula in Monoceros, Ha/S2/O3 imaging with the C14.
-
Sh2-294, the Octopus, also in Monoceros.
Mario has sent us another group of images, some southern and taken with the

The only thing I can fault you on, Mario, is your lack of output.Just joking.
Wow, what a marvelous collection of deep sky objects. I am particularly awed by Sh2-280.I just finished my photo of NGC 2841 for March. Yours is nicely detailed;I can sense the contribution make by BlurX.

Outstanding images Mario. You're on a roll with your southern imaging. It's like having a whole new sky to explore!
