Last Thursday Oct 6, the seeing conditions were predicted to be better than average and they were as advertised. The results are better than anything I have imaged of Jupiter in the last 6 - 8 years; still can't match 2014. Here is a processed image with the Red Sppot in the lower SE corner. Also created a small sequence showing Jupiter's rotation over a 1 hour period.

Just tried Saturn but though sky seemed steady the planet was swimming so I have low expectations.
