If you’re wondering about our current “white sky” instead of normal blue, we are under a thick smoke plume from western forest fires. Even the sun is dimmed. This is not ha e or clouds its smoke in the upper atmosphere. No observing last night as we were dimmed down to mag 2 in Gloucester despite “clear skies”
See a smoke map I attached.
Of course despite the North Pole ice at lowest level ever, all glaciers receding, and forest burning all over the world, certain politicians assure us global warming is all a hoax so relax

Yes, I noticed how extremely orange the sunrise was today and the night
skies have been very white as well, likely from smoke and light pollution.
That's heavy smoke showing on the chart!
Yup, human activity-induced global warming and the climate crisis are real.
We're all connected and are negatively impacted whether we acknowledge it
or not.
I'm doing everything I can individually - things anyone can do: I drive
seldom and combine trips; I almost never fly; I minimize waste and I
compost food waste to make my own "black gold"; I use energy efficient
appliances and electric landscaping equipment; I am establishing a
pollinator-supportive and higher carbon sink garden; I own a
high-performing solar array; I used Mass Save for energy assessment, extra
insulating, and water and energy conserving fixtures; and for decades I
have purchased sustainable electricity production credits through now Green
Energy Consumers so any electricity not provided by my panels is provided
by 100% newly developed New England Wind energy.
I also encourage those representatives you mention to establish legislation
to limit greenhouse gas emissions and limit climate change because as even
AI states:
"Legislation can help prevent climate change by regulating greenhouse gas
emissions, promoting sustainable practices, and holding corporations
accountable for their environmental impact. Laws can also change behaviors
and social norms, and provide accountability when injustice is recognized."
Because we know that powerful people and corporations are too often super
self-centered and rarely do the right thing without some sort of pressure.
There're a many things anyone can do to effectively help.
Apathy and complacency will only hasten the world's demise, so only Elon
will be left alone floating in space with Timothy Leary and Gene
Roddenberry's ghosts.
Sorry you had poor viewing last night, Mario - saw your message about that.
So disappointing - and disturbing.

It's not safe to breathe the air either, here is a real-time map of the smoke plume and particulate counts:

I had a sinusitis crisis last night (here in Rockport); this morning I measured the level of particles (ppm 2.5) and it is ‘Fair’ (not good but not terrible).

Yes. During a recent bloviation, the Orange Crested Great One declared that rising seas will benefit all by creating new beach front property around the world. So smart!
